No life story is more interesting and meaningful than your own. Moments that pass you by now might be casual and meaningless occurrences. But imagine how that same exact occurrence would seem to you, say ten years down the road- when your life is drastically different. It is important to keep track of each day, whether it be a detailed account - or - just a few sentences or words scrawled on a piece of paper. Somewhere you can look to, reminisce, on your own time. Not an Internet blog for the world to see, but your own escape- your own story. You would want to remember the people you came in contact with that day. The various feelings going through your head. That friend you relied on the most. That secret you were told but couldn’t tell anyone else. That person who made you feel important. That moment where you laughed so hard you cried. That night you cried so hard you didn’t think you’d last. That text that made you smile. That person who gave you butterflies.

This will preserve details, perhaps details that would be forgotten otherwise. Keep a journal, keep the memories. They are too precious to lose, too precious to be forgotten.
